ROME An Italian priest and theologian said Sunday he is organizing an online beauty pageant for nuns to give them more visibility within the Catholic Church and to fight the stereotype that they are all old and dour.

The first thing that comes to mind is Is this a good idea? Would such a move to draw focus in a secular fashion to those who have committed their lives to servant hood be honoring to God or would it be just a marketing campaign to draw interest in becoming a nun? How will the secular world view such a move and does it matter?
I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the subject.
